A/c supply can not store because in A/c supply in frist
half cycle it charge (store) and other half it dischage. In
A/c supply terminal are change in cycle.so it is not
possible..
D.c supply can not transmitted
for transmissin required high voltage for reduce the
losses . D.c. voltage is not step up thru transformer.we
can not generate very high voltage

generally in DC supply we cant tranmitt bcas for step up &
step down vtg we required transformer but due to absence of
frequency in DC,transformer not work, then we onther option
i.e we can use converter or rectifier but they are more
costly, but for EHV tansmission line exm.+/-500v or above
than that we can use DC for transmission bcas in DC more
technical & commertial benefits such as losses & tower
structure,conducter req.
the AC reaches zero level for every half cycles the averge
voltage cannot be retained.Hence from the conventional
methods can not be utilized for STORING AC power

As others answered A/C cannot be stored
But it is possible to transmit DC and it is used in many places.
Actually DC transmission is more cheaper than A/c
transmission beyond a distance called,'break even distance'
separates economy limitations of A/C and D/C

ac cannot be store for its alternating nature and first
positive half it is store charge and then in negative half
its discharge...

We cannot store AC in batteries because AC changes its polarity upto 50 (When frequency = 50 Hz) or 60 (When frequency = 60 Hz) times in a second. Therefore the battery terminals has to be changed with the same frequency in order to store the power but practically this doesn't happen. That’s why we can’t store AC in Batteries.
Also when we connect a battery with AC Supply, then It gets charged during positive half cycle and discharged during negative half cycle.Since the net stored charge during Positive (+ve) half cycle cancels the negative (-Ve) half cycle, the average voltage or current in a complete cycle is Zero.Hence it is not possible to store AC power in the Batteries.
Also note that Average Voltage x Average Current ≠ Average Power.

AC cant be stored because as
it changes at every instant of
time but we can charge it
upto half cycle and another it
discharges. Actually dc is not
transmitted because various
energy sources develop AC
which is of high value and
since our electronic devices
work for the constant value
we convert it to a small value
by means of rectifiers,filters
and regulators. Another
reason for not transmitting
dc is we cant step up or step
down it by means of
transformer.

up to 750 Km ac transmission cast is less then Dc
for very long distance dc is best.

we can store ac but not directly we can ac by converting ac
to dc by using half /full wave rectifiers.when we to utlise
the power we need to reconvert that power to dc to ac.
for ex:inverters that we are using in our automobiles etc

Who says AC cannot be stored and DC cannot be transmitted.
Convert your AC to DC and than store it than reconvert to ac
and than use it as in UPS.
DC is transmitted all around the world.

For refrigerators the motor current is raised beyond its rating on both conditions when the voltage of the system is more(say 270v) than the rated voltage(220v) as well as when the voltage of system is less(say 160v) than normal voltageof 220v, why explain?
