How do you reverse the direction of rotation of a FAN?

If u r talking about the ceiling fan, it is capacitor
start capacitor run motor.
It has 2 windings inside. One is Starting Winding and
another is Running winding.
To change the direction of rotation, just reverse the
connection of ANY ONE WINDING.
Thats all.

cieling fan uses a single phase induction motor as it is
not self starting it has two winding one is the stater
winding and the other is the running winding, starting
winding is disconnected after attaining speed by a
centrifugal switch.. for changing the direction of a
cieling fan we can either reverse the connection to running
or starting winding so that the direction of current is
reversed and so is torque...
