in three pin pluge there three pins one is phase and second
is earth third is nutral why nutral high diameter compare
with phase and earth

actualy earth socket has large diameter as compared to
phase and neutral.
it is for the safty.
whenever abnormal condition occures, abnormal current
should be earthed quickly and for that resistance of path
should be minimun and
resitivity= R*l/A ;
resistivity inversly prportion to area:A
so when earth socket hole be large abnormal current goes to
zero without any accident.

actually earth socket has large dia becouse when short ckt
occur the large current flow through this low resistance path
as R = P*l/a as area is large smaller is resistance and
excess will the current flow through it
also if the socket is small we have such a large current
flow throw it and a large heat is produced which will damage
the pin because if area is small heat per area is large and
pin get melted as like a fuse

Earth pin diameter is bigger than phase & neutral, because
conductor area increases its resistance will be reduce, so
fault current will easily flow through this path, this is
the reason why earth pin is bigger than other two pins.
compare to other two pins, the earth pin LENGTH also more,
because every electrical equipment should earth first.
(safety reason).
And also we cant insert(by mistake) the earth pin to phase
hole(plug).

It is purely for safety porpose.
For example, one electric press in ur hand and u have to
start it, than if ur consontration is not there and by
mistek(asume those three terminals are same dia)earth
terminal is inserted in phase socket.U will get heavy sock
current.
So, the earth terminal is bigger than others then no
chanches of mistek and no need of ur consentration. u r
safe.

actually, question is wrong see, neutral and phase terminals
are equal sizes, but earth terminal size is bigger than
both,as per question why nutral point is high diameter,as
per my experience ihave never seen nutral point is big
diameter.anyway allready lot of guys are given the
answer, about why earth point is bigger, ok,i also come to
the original matter,if in case short circuit is happened,in
that plase heavy currentis produced. that current going
through this earth point.due to this process we avoid heavy
accident.

Actually in Three pin Plug, one of the pin has higher
diameter and longer length compared to other two pins.
For operating persons safety this bigger pin must be
connected to earth. When we Put plug in the socket, first of
all this longer pin make contact hence the connected
equipment body comes to earth potential and safe guards the
Operator.Bigger size of the pin is to avoid mis-insertion of
the pin in to socket.

nutral pin always more dia compare than the phase & earth
pin
beacuse current always follows the low resistance path
beacuse of more dia it have large area compare than other
pins .if area is more lesser will be the resistance
beacuse resistivity =resistance*length/area
in case of any short ckt current always current rise
abruptly hence low resistance path provide the easy & fast
flow to current
