in three pin pluge there three pins one is phase and second
is earth third is nutral why nutral high diameter compare
with phase and earth
Answer Posted / adinarayana b
Actually in Three pin Plug, one of the pin has higher
diameter and longer length compared to other two pins.
For operating persons safety this bigger pin must be
connected to earth. When we Put plug in the socket, first of
all this longer pin make contact hence the connected
equipment body comes to earth potential and safe guards the
Operator.Bigger size of the pin is to avoid mis-insertion of
the pin in to socket.
