in three pin pluge there three pins one is phase and second

nutral pin always more dia compare than the phase & earth

beacuse current always follows the low resistance path
beacuse of more dia it have large area compare than other
pins .if area is more lesser will be the resistance
beacuse resistivity =resistance*length/area
in case of any short ckt current always current rise
abruptly hence low resistance path provide the easy & fast
flow to current

in our all power plant have connected in grid and grid voltage and plant voltage is same, but as per as electrical concept the power will transmit from high potential to low potential but here altough same,then how power transmit from power plant to grid.
