what is phase and neutral...

Answer / jiten

We are generating the power by generator in Three phase
system. These three phases can be connected in star or
delta connection. In case of stare connection there is a
neutral point of three phases. In normal condition the
voltage and current flow from neutral is zero. But in the
case of short circuit or during any fault there is flow of
current and voltage in neutral. Generally the neutral is
mostly used for protection purpose and in the case of
single phase and neutral connection, the neutral is used
for return path.

what is phase and neutral...

Answer / priyanka gupta

neutral has zero potential and phase has some value of
potential.

what is phase and neutral...

Answer / siva

phase has some potential and neutral is complete the
cicuit its is return path of any circuit

what is phase and neutral...

Answer / rince t r

phase is the part of circuit which is at highest potential...a current flow occurs if phase comes in contact with a low potential circuit path or conductor.. the neutral just acts as a return path..neutral's potential is zero..for power transmission both are required..

what is phase and neutral...

Answer / gunasekaran

neutral is zero potential phase is maximum potential of the
system

Is This Answer Correct ?    27 Yes 8 No

what is phase and neutral...

Answer / srikanth

the current where flows we call as phase due to free flow
of electrons is called current. the current flows from
maximum potential to low potential it is called phase..
where as neutral the current flows from low potential to
high potential...

Is This Answer Correct ?    19 Yes 2 No

what is phase and neutral...

Answer / farha

If an inductor is connected across a load it makes one
phase. If three such systems are connected either in star on
delta across a common load it is called a three phase
system. If a system is connected in star ie the finish point
of three inductors are connected together, the common point
is known as neutral.

Is This Answer Correct ?    25 Yes 10 No

what is phase and neutral...

Answer / baljinder singh

IT IS BASICALLY WINDING OF GENERATOR IN GENERATING
STATION,WHERE WE GENERATE ELECTRICITY.THE COMMON POINT OF
THREE WINDING(IN THREE PHASE SYSTEM)IS CALLED NEUTRAL
POINT.IT IS BASICALLY CONNECT TO EARTH AND HAVE A ZERO
POTENTIAL. AND PHASE HAS SOME POTENTIAL ACCORDING TO
GENERATING.

what is phase and neutral...

Answer / krupa reddy s

phase-highest potential element in the circuit
neutral-element with zero potential and it complets the
path for conduction of current....means return path
