there are two cases arises here, in first case our answer
will be yes under the following condition.
the generator should be so excited till its voltages
produced be equal to the previous step up voltages done
through transformer, however these rise in voltages are just
restricted to 33KV, because beyond this voltage level there
arises a critical issue of the winding insulation.
in this method just reverse the connections, i-e change the
L.T as sending voltage side, and the H.T as generation side.
however in the second case , our answer will be no, if
higher voltage step up transformer are used, due to the
above mentioned problem of insulation of transformer.

We have to back-charge UGT if the synch is done at generator
output and may be for aux supply

Yes. If the aux tr is connected to GT and there is no generation ,the GT is back charged with grid duly isolating gen, for aux supply .

what is the function of CRGO in a Transformer?
We wish to test 60 Hz systems from a 50 Hz supply. To acheive frequency conversion, we use a VFD. The VFD powers 40 kVA transformer, which has motor and non-motor loads on it. Will the transformer work?

Hi Suppose we have a wye/wye transformer which is grounded at both sides,in this situation, do we have ay ground transformer? in other words, ground transformer can do any thing more (while we have nuetral wire in both sides)? As the last question, what about 3rd harmonic? we have two choices: first using wye/delta transformer + ground transformer and second using wye/wye earthed connection.in the former choice, we dont have 3rd harmoonic at the secondary side but what about Yn/yn conection? do we suffer from 3rd harmonic in the Yn/yn connection?
