There are two options to set "max number of rows fetched"
from designer,
1. Tools> Options
2. From universe parameters
What is the different between these two and why their valus
are different?

In Designer
This is a useful feature to show you a sample of the data
in your tables as you build objects in the universe. As a
default, Designer will present
you with the first 100 values in your database
I think ur expecting this one.

that u get the table values

BO Security (creating the restriction sets in Universe and applying on selected groups or users) or Database security (Creating the tables in database insrting the user details in that tables and giving conditions in self restricting joins in Universe )Which Security will improve the performance of the reports and for best practices ? you have two tables table 1 contains emp id,name and deptno and tble 2 contains only depatment number some of the depatment no of 1st table are not present in table 2 how will you create a report only to get the departments of which excess in table 1
