transformer transmits ac power which have both active and
reactive components that's why the ratings are in kva
instead of kw

because transformers supply both real (active) and reactive
power so we have to specify it through a component summing
this two kind of power wich is the total power kva and also
because the power factor may vary through operation we cant
specify an active power for every power factor
