What is min and max voltage between earth and neutral/phase
if it perfect earthing?
Answers were Sorted based on User's Feedback
Answer / deb
-Neutral-earth-0 volts(max. 5 volt)
-if Neutral-earth-1 volts, means perfect earthing(in a
office where load present.
At this condition neutral-phase voltage will bw higher than
earth-phase voltage. because leakage current pass through
neutral.
Normally neutral-phase voltage-220 +-10 and earth-phase
voltage same at no load condition(earthing 0 volt)
means if earthing in a office where equipment is running
and earthing voltage suppose 2 volt . the neutral-phase
voltage should be suppose to 220 volt and Earth-phase
voltage 218(neutral to phase voltage 220 volt-earth to
neutral voltage 2 volt = 218 volt).

440 volt three phase system
line to line 398.36 volt
phase to neutral voltage 230 volt
phase to earth voltage 230 volt
earth to neutral voltage 0 volt in single earthing without joints
and with joints Neutral-Earth= 0 to 5 volts
| Is This Answer Correct ? | 9 Yes | 0 No |
Answer / chandrakant rewatkar
min voltage is Zero ( if no joints)
max voltage is 3 volt ( if there is the joints)
if these value get in case of 3phase supply with P and N
if supply voltage is 415 without variation in voltage.
if value is more than 3 volts,
then load is unbalanced
Earthing not perfect
neutral not proper from incoming supply
