hi,
Actually tat term is calld "crictical distruptive
voltage".it deals with carrona loss.in transmission line if
we allow high ac voltage more than tis "crict distr
voltage" means it ill leads to carrona effect.

It is the minimum phase to neutral voltage at which cornro
occurs.It is multiple of break down strength of air , it is
betbeen two wire hving large potential diffrence and less
spaced apart
vc = g.rlog(d/r)
here vc is C.D.voltage , g is breakdown strength of air , d
is distance betbeen conductors, r is radia of conductor .
