KVAr = KW(multiplication factor )
1320(tan@1-tan@2)
cos@1-intial P.f
cos@2-final P.f
kvar=1320(0.541)
Kvar=715

how to caluculate APFC panel rating, my running Load is 1320KW, Present P.F 0.76 to 0.8 we need 0...

Answer / deniram anandrao nikhare

KVAR Required = Operating KW x [Tan (A1) - Tan (A2)]

Where A1 = Inverse Cosine of present power factor
= Cos-1(0.78)
= 38.739
A2 = inverse Cosine of desired power factor
= Cos-1(0.98)
= 11.478
Tan(A1)=Tan(38.739)=0.8022
Tan(A1)=Tan(11.478)=0.2030
Hence,
KVAR Required=1320 x (0.8022-0.2030)
SO KVAR NEEDED TO ATTACHED=790 kVAR

Input Initial Power Factor : .76
Input Desired Power Factor: .98
Input Load KW (KW) : 1320 KW

SO KVAR NEEDED TO ATTACHED :860 KVAR IF U WANTS .98

KVAR NEEDED TO ATTACHED :940 KVAR IF U WANTS .98
THESE 2 PANELS U NEED TO BE INSTAL ON THIS CONNECTED LOAD
AND ALSO DEMAND WILL GO DOWN
