why transformer donot allow the dc?..

Answer / anand kumar shukla

in case of dc we use transformer.
but in case of dc we use not transformer because in dc
case frequency is zero. in dc case we use chopper (power
electronics devices) it changes the fixed dc voltage in to
a variable dc voltage.

ANSWER TO BABU'S QUESTION ABOVE

in dc motor no transformer action takes place

the field will produce magnetism in the stator

the same current flows in armature this current experiences
a force according to biot savarts law

why transformer donot allow the dc?..

Answer / balaji

IN AC SUPPLY PRODUCED HIGH CURRENT ALSO SO DC CANNOT
PRODUCED HIGH CURRENT FOR E.G DC SUPPLY MAX CAPACITY BELOW
500 AH IN SINGLE BATTERY. IN AC ALTERNATOR PRODUCED MEGA
CURRENT BUT DOMESTIC USE 230V ONLY SO DECREASE THE VOLTAGE
RANGE IS USED FOR TRANSFORMER. 63/33KV AND 33/11KV AND
11KV/430V. PRODUCES THE CURRENT IN ALTERNATOR IS VERY HIGH
TRANSMISSION LINE ITS USED HIGH VOLTAGE LINE. IN DC SUPPLY
IS USE FOR MARINE RAILWAY SIGNAL ETC IN DC SUPPLY PRODUCES
THE BATTERY BUT CHARGE THE BATTERY WANT AC SUPPLY.

why transformer donot allow the dc?..

Answer / avik ghosh

transformer works depending upon flux linkage changing.it
needs some change of flux linkage.otherwise it will not
step up or step down the input ,which is the basic
principle.for dc supply is constant,no question of flux
linkage change arises.

There is no such thing as a Generator. All power generating devices are Alternator since both generate alternating current since this is the only way electrical power can be generated. In "generators" the alternating current is converted into DC inside the housing of the "generator" in order to give out DC Do you agree? If not please educate me. How else is DC generated if not like above?
