Answer / vidhya sagar.k
1.If we stepped up of voltage, current will decrease it helps to reduce the size of conductors, insulators and towers
2.It also helps to reduce the i*i*r losses(cu loss)
for that purposes only we are step up the voltages

Abdurrahim answer i can understand
in my point view
for high current and low voltage transmission
1.AC current flow outermost conducter in grid bus,so
loss of skin effect more is one the factor
2.Current carring capacity is high,so it is need spical
type bushing and transmission tower,in bteween lines need
more support.it is diffecult maintance

Why we are mostly using a single 3-phase transformer instead of three 1-phase transformers?
A synchronous machines has higher capacity for (1) Leading power factor (2) Lagging power factor (3) Does not depend upon the power factor of machine (4) None of the above
