My experience with Hp & Placement Paper 2006 oct with I nterview procedure..

HP conducts interview in 3 rounds basically.

First round consists of 4 sections like English, Reasoning,Aptitude and
comprehension.

English round like articles,jumbled up sentences, antonyms & synonyms etc.

Reasoning part Eventhough paper easy we find difficulty in answering them
in time.

For me the tough ones are venn diagram puzzles,the type of problems were
one has to decide if the person is to be selected, rejected or
referred ,clock puzzles, cube which is painted .

Aptitude-just prelimanaries involving time & distance, binary numbers,
clocks, simple but lenghy mathematical calculations.

Conprehension passage from MIcroprocesor was given from which we have to
draw conclusion.

Second round of technical Interview with questions involving-C,C++,DBMS),
SQL,software engineering etc.

Third round is HR Lengthy taking 40-45 minutes.

General questions were asked about family background,hobbies, last movie
seen it's story,what was the last book you read like that

In all these major eliminating round was the prelimanary section.
So we have to be careful with preliminary section.
