KVA transformer of different frequencies of 50hz,100hz,500hz&1000hz. which one of these transfo..

Answer / vijendra joglekar

well transmission & distrubutions transformer(Electrical)
dosent decide by frequency normally it will comes as 50 hz
or 60hz depends upon country these transformers vary there
size by rating not by frequency .But in power electronics
transformers (Normally in Power electronics circuits for
example Switching on SCR HIGH frequency signal is required
were 500hz or more are used which is normally smaller size
but designed for very high frequency)

KVA transformer of different frequencies of 50hz,100hz,500hz&1000hz. which one of these transfo..

Answer / annarapu sairam

At higher frequencies the no of turns required is less so the
size of transformer is reducued.

KVA transformer of different frequencies of 50hz,100hz,500hz&1000hz. which one of these transfo..

Answer / k,prakashchandra

In transformers back emf should be almost equal to the
applied voltage . For the same voltage ,less flux is
required at higher frequency. The core will be smaller ,and
hence the size

KVA transformer of different frequencies of 50hz,100hz,500hz&1000hz. which one of these transfo..

Answer / uma

inductive reactance is proportional to frequency and inductance. So for same inductance if frequency increases L can be decreased. where L is prop to volume. So higher the frequency lower the size required.
