It is like box type arrangement. All the transformer
protection like winding,oil temperature,pressure alarm,are
wired upto this box for remote monitoring or to incomer relays.

this is rajkumar from one of the reputed power transfomer
manufacturing company
as u said above is wrong
actually the marshalling box used with the transformer is
contains one WTI(winding temparature indicator) OTI(oil
temparature indicator)and few connectors (these r some
connecting devices like plugs to give the normal operating
voltage to the WTI and OTI from external supply).from this
box only we can abserve the condition of transformer..and we
will operate the relays and ckt breakers manually or
automatically depends on the fault condition.....
thanks,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Marshalling box is a type of box which is connected at one
side of transformer. It consists of WTI(winding temperature
indicator) and OTI(oil temperature indicator). WTI are in
two numbers, one for HV and other for LV. It consists of a
heater which is used to absorb the moisture in the box.

In general Marshalling box is a common Junction box where
all local sensor are terminated and a common cable taken to
remote monitoring station either Substation relay console
panel [RCP] or DCS or PLC.
On the other hand in PLC /DCS also use this word, where the
different I/Os wired to terminals and from there the cables
is drawn to field sensors/equipements/instrumens.

Marshalling box is complete with
a) 240 V, 15A, SPN socket outlet, complete with switch and
HRC fuse for hand lamp
connection.
b) Cubicle lamp (CFL) complete in all respects (with lamp
holder, switch, HRC fuses)
but without lamp.
c) All auxiliary contactors as required in the order to
make necessary potential free
contacts for remote alarm and tripping.
d) Marshalling box shall be weather proof type and shall be
provided on the front side
of transformer tank and not on radiator.
6.2 Marshalling box shall be provided with terminals for
oil temperature indicator, winding
temperature indicator, magnetic oil gauge and buchholz
relay and other control terminals as
applicable.

Maeshalling box is actually, a rectangular type box which consists of OTI (OIL TEMPERATURE INDICATOR), WTI (WATER TEMPERATURE INDCATOR). This inidcator indicates the current readings of Oil as well as Water. And, alarm is also associated in the respective box which start beeping when the specified temperature of water or oil exceeds or goes down. Various performance & monitoring could also be done with the help of this Marshalling box.

Graphs of measuring power and speed on dc motor
We have a 33/11kv switchyard having 12.5 MVA power transformer. We export & import power through this transformer. When we export power, the PF will be depend on GRID PF & when we import power the PF will be depend on our load PF. but the problem is that, when neither we export nor import but our 33KV vCB is in close position, our meter read the power factor 0.14 to 0.25 at that moment. So how can be we improve the power factor at that moment.
