(33kV/0.433kV) HT side to HT panel which contain VCB? In
which standard i shall get this information.

What is maximum permissible length of cable from transformer (33kV/0.433kV) HT side to HT panel whi..

Answer / satyajitt_1983

Before calculating the Cable length we have to decided the
cable size which is depend upon the terminal size of
Transformer & HT panel. After selection of cable size & no
of run we have to calculate the voltage drop which should
be within the limit of the specified project.

What is maximum permissible length of cable from transformer (33kV/0.433kV) HT side to HT panel whi..

Answer / a.p.nanjappa

this is a practical problem.
Generally , Station auxiliary or Unit auxiliary
transformers are located very near to load consummer PCC/mcc
building.
High voltage current is less and Low voltage current is
very high,say 1250kva-33/0.42kv,21/1800A,
5MVA,33/0.42KV,87A/7210A. therefore, the distance between
33kv MV SW.GR FEEDER to your transformer location could be
500-1000m as per voltage drop calculation.we have the
system around this distance.
the advatage is LOw voltage from power transformer to PCC
SW.GR IS BUS DUCT. Huge low voltage power cable are totally
eliminated. Maintenanve free. electrical engineering hand

What is maximum permissible length of cable from transformer (33kV/0.433kV) HT side to HT panel whi..

Answer / pravin

if a long cable is connected what will happen to charging
current & surges that may affect transformer winding. Also
the protection given to transformer is overcurrent & earth
fault that may not work properly, it may mal operate. I am
surching for any standrad that could specificaly mention
this matter.

What is maximum permissible length of cable from transformer (33kV/0.433kV) HT side to HT panel whi..

Answer / wareagle

That would be subject to your local electrical code. If the
run of cable is outside, usually no limit. Inside there is
a limit to the length. There are provisions if it is
underground such as depth ,conduit type, concrete encased,
maybe others per your code.
