if we give a dc suppy to a transformer then as the rate of change of flux is zero so no induction process ill occur but in primanry current is there ans it will effect the primary coil if it is kept for long time (if small dc applied )the wire get heated up and burn .

In DC there will not be any rate of change of flux.. so transforming action will not take place

winding becomes burn because resistance of winding is very low &frequency of d.c is 0 hz so indutance is 0 result net impedence is very very low
