what are different type of triping equipmen like MCB,MCCB
and their differences

Answer / chirag
Triping devices are circuit breaker,mcb,mccb,rccb,elcb
MCB: Miniature circuit breaker
MCCB: Molded case circuit breaker
RCCB: Residule current circuit breaker
ELCB: Earth leakage circuit breaker
Generally for low votage up to 440v mcb are used but when
voltage level is high there is possibility of sparking so
mccb are used in which arc extinguish medium is used.
And for safety porpose RCCB is used which does not sense
overload but sense unbalance current of each phase.

Answer / answer seeker
tripping equipment are
1.mcb
2.mccb
3.rccb
4.elcb
mcb : " miniature cb " the advanced type of fuse(0.5-125A
)
mccb : " moulded case cb " 16A -1250A)
elcb : " earth leakage current circuit breaker " for earth leakage protection (
rccb : "Residual Current Circuit Breakers " work with earth leakage current sensing ( 30mA-300mA)

MCB: Miniature circuit breaker

RCCB: Residule current circuit breaker
ELCB: Earth leakage circuit breaker.
mcb can be used up to certain level of current it can also
used as a switch but it can Connect only on single conductor
or wire for two or more wires we can use different circuits
manufactured by multiple mcb like Dp,Tp Tpn.
mccb it can be used at three wires for large ammount of
current flowing (above mcb rating) usually above 100A current.
mccb & elcb both are used for human protection but tripping
method of both is different elcb will trip by sensing
cuntunity between phase and earth when ever mccv will trip
if there is a difference in current flowing between phase &
neutral more than or equal to 30mA basically mccb is advance
version of elcb & it is letence.
in my openian mccb is more better than mccb.
