what are different type of triping equipmen like MCB,MCCB
and their differences
Answer Posted / chirag
Triping devices are circuit breaker,mcb,mccb,rccb,elcb
MCB: Miniature circuit breaker
MCCB: Molded case circuit breaker
RCCB: Residule current circuit breaker
ELCB: Earth leakage circuit breaker
Generally for low votage up to 440v mcb are used but when
voltage level is high there is possibility of sparking so
mccb are used in which arc extinguish medium is used.
And for safety porpose RCCB is used which does not sense
overload but sense unbalance current of each phase.
