What will be the minimum megger value of 1700 KVA Transformer?
a) Do megger value varies according to climate conditions
and area .
b) If megger value is 100 mega ohm is it good for new
transfomer.
Explain?

minimum meggar value of any electrical installation is best
determined by the operating voltage rather than KVA.higher
the operating voltage higher the meggar value should be.
Climatic conditions can influence meggar value, but any
climate or location the meggar value should be above the
safe accecpted value.

Answer / shariff
There is no minimum or max. value for any transformer
Insulation resistance values( not megger value),the main
factor here is the polarization index value .ie, the IR
value should decay with the time of the time of applied VG.
and the ratio of PI should be morethan 1,and the climatic
conditions will decay the IR values.

How do I know if a transformer is saturated? I am doing the simulation of the saturation of a transformer, but what parameter tells me when a transformer is saturated? How do you calculate? is on the plate?, there is a rule that can help me? How could model? I understand the saturation occurs when the flow can no longer bind to the other winding, this is given to certain current, this current is the same that appears as the highest in the bale of features?
