An engineer measures the direct current resistance of a
transformer using ohm meter. When he/she takes out one of the
leads of the meter, spark comes.. Why ?? This effect is known
as...
Answer / addicted to know electrical

inductor has property to maintain current flowing when ckt
is open circuited. This effect is just
inductance...............

What is battery Amphere-hour? How the battery back up time period is calculated?
Hi frnds :) plz tell me that i have 100 KVA 3 phase generator so by thumb rule 100*1.4 = 144 amps and generaly we can operate at 80% load...so it will 144*0.8 =112 amps.... so now i m confused about single phase load.....if we use that generator only for single phase the that 112 amps is total single phase load or i can give 112 amps at red 112 amps at yellow and 112 amps at blue.... i mean that total single phase load that 100 KVA generator will take is 112+112+112=336 amp ??
For a three phase induction motor, what will be the effect on motor if the neutral of the system is shifted to say 20 deg.?
what do you mean by PF correction. A motor is rated at 15 kw,415 volts, 0.7 pf and eff of 0.92. The powerfactor is improved to 0.98 by adding capacitors at the bus. calculate the current drawn by motor under full load condition before and after pf correction
