motor runs for some time with less speed because one of the
phase is gone and current increases in two phases,after
some time if no protection act than motor will burn.

if one of the phase of induction motor is failled then it
will rotate but it draws higher current from the supply
mail and if insulation is poor or not able to withstand
the supply current then after some time it will burn.

It will run for few second after that relay will trip becous High current will flow in two other phases so that's why our motor will not burn.😊😉
