all are depend on the standard water, if we have no standard water we have to change these ratio which my all friend post and given.we can change the ratio of cement by adding some chemical which increase the strenghth of concrete.Dont use more cement because it is not a part of green concept building.

In Indaia Mumbai the ratio is as follow
M5 - 1:5:10
M10 - 1:4:6
M15 - 1:2:5
M20 - 1:1.5:3
M25 - 1:1.25:2.5
AND THE RATIO IS ALSO DEPEND ON SAND.
THAT WHY IF SAND QUALITY IS VERY GOOD THEN RATIO MAY BE CHANGE....

No where code IS is specified mix ratios for grade of
concrete. But IS 456-2000 table no 9 is given guideline for
nominal mix of grade M5 to M20 by weigh batches.
At the same time all are mentioned mix ratios. Is it weigh
batch or volume batch

is there any books available to know the methodology of construction process ( Site Process ) and also find the quantities of all materials used at site.
Respected Sir, I am from a hilly place called Darjeeling ,I have constructed house of 9 column out of which 4 of the column is under water , i have put rcc slab on top and on top of the rcc slab i have construced two room house with bricks and light roof , now i am planning to change the light roof with rcc slab for the two room, my main concern is will the column under water will hold the load of the new rcc slab coz it already 10 to 12 yrs old , i dont know what to do , can u advice me regarding this matter, weather to leave the upper floor roof light or make it rcc slab.(If i put the slab , it will require 45bags of cement and u calculate how much of steel and sand and pebbles) thanks with regard Anand
