In 120 m high RCC Chimney shell construction how we can
calculate the inner and outer dia of shell at every +1 m
level as this shell is inclined from bottom to top.

Answer / sachin
BY CALCULATING THE SLOPE OF SHELL PER METER AND REDUCING
FROM OUTER AND INER DIA AT EVERY LEVEL WE CAN CALCULATE THE
ACTUAL DIA AT THAT STAGE.

Answer / n.c.kapri
in slipform technology ,we do a marking in spur beam from
center.drop the shawal from there and measure the distance
from inner wall to that marking,it will our I.D
ex:marking at 2.9m
distance from inner wall to that marking .475m
so inner dia =2.9+.475
=3.375m
now add the wall thikness in I.D & get outside dia

(bottom outer dia- top outer dia)/ height=average reduce the
dia per 1mt
inner dia =outer dia is checked ok so just measurement wall
thickness is correct or not
example:
bottom outer dia=100mt top outer dia =82mt height=120mt wall
thickness=0.5mt
(100-82)/120=0.15mt each 1mt reduce the dia 0.15mt ok
+4m outer dia=(100-(4*.15))=99.40mt dia
+4m inner dia=(99.40-2*0.5(wall thickness)=98.40mt dia
chimney 90degree maintain =center point maintain 0 to 120mt&
check radius every +1mt
