radar type level transmitter works on the principle
of "time of flight system " actually this type of
transmitter having antenna used to send and recive the
micro waves these waves having the frequency range in GHZ.
by calculating the time required to send and recieve the
data the distance can be calculated from the following
expression
velocity=2 distance/time
therefore distance =velocity *time /2
for zero level 4ma and for span 20ma has to set

first of all we calculated the total lenth, then set 4mA at
zero level & max lenth at 20mA. When we send a RF freq
signal the time required to recieved the signal,that time
will be calculated by following formula
distance=velocity*time/2
in this way we get the value

radar level txr as a geiger counter and the source is emits
the radio waves into the vessel it contains some liquids the
ionised radio electrons move to the chargable ends as a
measurement unit if low liquids are in vessel means higher
electrons move to measurement unit.

Radar level measurement is based on the principle of
measuring the time required for the microwave pulse and its
reflected echo to make a complete return trip between the
non-contacting transducer and the sensed material level.
Then, the transceiver converts this signal electrically into
distance/level and presents it as an analogue and/or digital
signal. The transducer’s output can be selected by the user
to be directly or inversely proportional to the span. RADAR
