the analytical balance.By weighing subsequent low weights ,
at which level the weight is not deviating from the
standard weight by 0.01% ,that should be considered as
least count.For denver analytical balances it is 20 mg, for
micro balance is 0.01mgand for pan balance it is 2 gram

Least count is the unit count in which balance gives readings for example if 100 gm balance gives readings of 0.001 variation ,so its least count can be considered as 0.001 mg

Least count is lowest value measure by any measuring instrument accurately. If a measuring ruler have divisions in Centimeter and milimeter then least count is 0.1 Centimeter or 1 mm. In case of instrument like balance least count given by instrument manufacturer because capacity of balance to measure lowest value is checked during it's manufacturing. If it's not given then it will be measure not get calculated. The lowest weight measured with accuracy of +/- 0.001% is consider as it's least count.

Its soooo simple.
Least count is difference between two consecutive readings.
If two consecutive readings are 5.234 g and 5.235 g just find difference between them you will get least count. In this case least count is 0.001 g.
