Answer / vishal shah
In TOC calibration 1,4 Benzoquinone used because 1,4
Benzoquinone is tufest to oxidized and sucrose is easly
oxidized so cover upper and lower range for calibration.

In Toc Analyzer Calibration (System suitability) we are preparing Standard sucrose of 500PPb and Benzoquinone Preparing of 500ppb . Sucrose is easy to oxidized and p- Benzoquinone is hard to decompose(oxidized). Its molecule bound not easy to oxidized so the response efficiency defined in USP (united state pharmacopoeia )its response efficiency not less then 85% and not more then 115% . BQ run as control sample in the References of Sucrose .And Its Calculation methods [(rss-rw ) / (rs-rw)]100.
