percentage impedance is voltage drop on full load due to
winding resistance and leakage reactance

Answer / sangeetha.np
The percentage represents the amount of normal rated
primary voltage which must be applied to the transformer to
produce full rated load current when the secondary winding
is short circuited. The maximum short circuit current that
can be obtained from the output of the transformer is
limited by the impedance of the transformer and is
determined by the multiplying the reciprocal of the
impedance timed the full load current . Thus, if a
transformer has 5% impedance, the reciprocal of .05 is 20
and maximum short circuit current is 20 times the full load
current.

I need to connect a synchronous generator to the grid using automatic synchronization and two circuit breakers (one for synchronization, one for end connection to the grid), how to determinate the required diameter of the cables?
how i run d.c. moter with solar panel without use of battery?
11KV AND 22KV NETWORK KW CAPACITY IN RING AND RADIAL?
Can earth resistance be measured without connecting the earth electrode? and should earthing connections be disconnected What is the effect of connecting two cables of different sizes in parallel with supply? Thanks in Advance. I am intrested to get in touch with some tecnocrats/engineers,my mail i.d is : hiremathvijay@rediffmail.com

Why cannot we insulate HT over head cable to avoid ionization of air around the HT Cable?..By this we can minimise corona loss also..
how to make parrallal ups
A 6-pole, 50 Hz, 3-phase synchronous motor and on 8-pole, 50 Hz, 3-phase slip-ring induction motor are mechanically coupled and operate on the same 3-phase, 50 Hz supply. If they are left open-circuited, then the frequency of the voltage produced across any two slip rings would be
if transformer core is made of copper instead of steel which losses will increase..please explain
how we select HRC FUSE ?
Dear sir, we are getting voltage fluctuations suddenly for 2 or 3 minutes again it becomes normal. we checked each and every connection some times we are getting 110 volts like that from earth to neutral again it is reducing we are getting supply from 45 kva DG set give earthing properly.
What is a Phase shift meter? Where can I get one?
