Why all transmission lines are AC, not DC line?
if power factor comes in leading & showing -0.95. Is there any effect on electrical system? if yes, then please tell me what would be the effects. & how long we keep power factor in leading. Keeping power factor in leading shows more KW & less KVA is it correct or not.

We say that if voltage in a power system is increased, for a constant power the current will decrease (by P=VI). isn't this in disagreement with the ohms law(I propotional V;resistant const.).Since the resistance of transmission lines remains constant, shouldn't inc in voltage cause inc in current across the transmission line? I have read many articles across the net but still couldn't this figure this out. :( Guyz plz assist me with dis..:)..
Consider a case that two 200 hp motors are connected to 500KVA transformer. For improving power factor can we add capacitors in common bus bars to motors. Or should we add capacitors for each individual motor?
