Dear Friends,
i suppose the question was misunerstood by some persons.
The Plant Load factor is the term which means the output of
the power plant with respect to its rated output. (actual
o/p / Rated o/p). Generally PLF term calculated annual basis
(Viz. If a power plant have rated o/p 250 MW i.e. 250x24(hr)
x365(Days) (annual o/p) and its actual o/p is
250x24x340i.e. its o/p is less than its rated o/p )
most of the plant have PLF in between 65 to 100 %. the PLF
depends on power demand, maintanance outage of plant, forced
outage,actual plant generating capacity,etc.
Now the ans of the question asked by ms. asha
PLF not de[pend on type of power plant. but obviously PLF
of thermal, nuclear, gas power plant are higher than non
convential power plants. Thermal power plants can give PLF
more than 100%.If it operate at higher the rated capacity
(e.g. Dahanu Thermal Power plantsPLF is above 100%)

All base load power plants(thermal, nuclear & hydel (during
rainy season)) will have a high load factor.

Answer / nithi
All base load power plants have a high load factor.
do you agree?
If we use high efficiency power plants to
supply the base load,we can reduce the cost of generation.
Hydel power plants have a higher efficiency than
thermal & nuclear power plants.
Then why can't we use hydel power plants as a base
load power plants during rainy season?
But,all friends are concentrating only on nuclear
power plants.I don't know why?

nuclear power plant because ,this plant consumes less energy for generating high power.

The Power plant whioch are running on base load, having
high Plant Load Factor

the ans can different that given here because the total
power factor is depend upon your generating power plant
that how much it generated and how much power required to
your area.

hi ppl, both nuclear and thermal vil ave a power load factor
(PLF) in the range of 60%-85% .n the overall PLF i.e,
considering all the thermal power stations,it is 77.5% but
for nuclear it is around 61%.so,ave u guezzd the answer?
s . its THERMAL POWER PLANT.in case of any improvement in

Dear Friends,
If we improve power factors of high voltage (6kV) motors for
own demand of a power plant fired coal,
will the electric energy distribution of the power plant
increase?
