Answer / saqib
Area 100 SFT 100*1.54 =154 CFT
Ratio 1:5 Sum of ratio 1+5=6
Cement 1/6*154 = 25.66 CFT
Bag 25.66/1.25=20.528 Say 21 Bags
Sand 5/6*154 =128.33 CFT

Answer / raja j
mortar ratio =1:5
assume = 12mm as plastering thickness
calculating 10m2 of plastering area:-
volume=10*.012=.12m3
add 15 % for wastages = =.12*1.15=.138m3
so sand required for 10m2=.138m3
cement required for 10 m2=(1440/5)*.138
cement=39.7kg

Answer / n.munusamy
cement per 1cum 1:5=(1.1*1440)/5=316.8kgs or 6.4 bags
sand per 1 cum 1:5=(6.4bags*1.25*5)/35.315=1.13cum
(including Bulkage)

Each and every 1 s making mistake of Shrinkage factor,,
that s 1.5
So then
ratio 1:5
sum of ratio is 1+5=6
for cement=1/6*Quantity*1.5= X
so
for cement bags= X /1.25= Y
we get Y bags of cement
for sand=5/6*Quantity*1.54= Z

suppose area=100 sft
ratio 1:5
sum of ratio is 1+5=6
for cement=1/6*100=16.666
so 16.666*1.54=25.666
for cement bags=25.666/1.25=20.5333
so say 21 bags of cement
for sand=5/6*100=83.333*1.54=1.28
