Answer / aarti
zener diode is a special purpose diode . it is basically
used in reverse saturation condition i.e. it allows the
reverse saturation current to flow without introducing
breakdown.
BJT is a bipolar device or component i.e.condution is due to
the both of the charge carriers ( holes & electons) but FET
is unipolar i.e. the conduction is due to only one type of
charge carriers (either holes or electorns).

zenar diode wont allows reverse saturation current. for the
purpose of eradicating the reverse saturation current we
can use zenar diode.

Answer / brp
zener diode shows good characteristics for reverse bias
condition than normal diode. so it is mostly applied in
reverse saturation region. moreover zener diode is widely
used in voltage regulator.
BJT is bipolar while FET is a unipolar device. both can be
used as amplifier and switches by proper biasing

The main difference b/w BJT and FET are the BJT is current
control device and FET is voltage control device. And the
zener diode is working in Reverse mode and it has proper
cut off region
