i know maximum 12 trx we use in one BTS
if we have 3 sector then each sector has 4 trx

Actually Trx handled by the BSC is based upon their types.
BSC Has three types it's named BSCi,BSC 2i & BSC3i.here
BSC i can handle Upto 256 Trxs,BSC 2i can handle 512 Trxs,
BSC 3i do the maximum of 660 Trxs.

BSC 3i is now upgraded to handle the Trxs such as like
1000,2000.

Hi,

In most BTSs the maximum number of TRXs is 12. But Gunnar Heinne book on GSM mentioned as upto 16 TRX may be possible in a BTS. But how many TRXs use in one BSC is an absurd question.

One Ericsson BSC can Handle a maximum of 1020 trxs or trus.

one bsc is having 1024 TRX.
actually 1 bts can handle upto 16 TRX for GSM recomondations
population is full in one site we can establish so many
trx's to manage the signal levels

1 e1 =16 trx
if u have 64 e1 in bsc that mean u have :64*16=1024 trx

In huawei bts maximum using 4 DRFU equal to 8 trx .
Normally have a 6 DRFU equal to 12 trx

As we all aware that a Dual TRE having two trx , As we talk
abt Ultra BTS of Nokia that supoort max 12 trx for all three
sectors, as i huawei we are using DRFU which itself have two
TRX for each card So for 6 slot we can use max 12 TRX in it
also . But for BSC its depends on the card capacity of BSC
that how many BTS it can handled. As it is depends on
technical specification of particular BSC.
