In supply RYB are mentioned. But in transformers, why they
are mentioning XYZ?

Answer / pillay
RYB, RST, UVW, AND XYZ IS used simply to differentiate
the various terminals.
In a transformer there are actually two sets of terminals
actually you can name them both as RYB but how are you going to
differentiate from the primary and the secondary. Now we use RYB
OR RST as the primary and the secondary as XYZ OR UVW.We use
the same reasoning whenever there are two options for example the
power connections to a soft starter or the connections in a
variable frequency drive.

Answer / ullas
while we are mentioning about the supply system we can see
the terms RYB.
it is not a problem in mentioning the three different
phases with R Y B or U V W or X Y Z.
but one idea shall be used while identifying the three
phases. read the terminal near to neutral as R or U or X
etc.

Answer / masiga
In supply(end user): It is imperative to identify the
R-red,Y-yellow,B-blue which correspond to the standard color
codes for live, ground and neutral.
In transformers(transmission): The three XYZ phases have the
same electrical components/qualities, might as well name
them UVW

What is difference between MCB,MCCB,ELCB and RCCB? Brief description and why RCCB is costly?
We use MCCB not MCB for motor starters because MCCBs has capablity to drawout the motor starting current which is 5-6 times the full load current of motor for 1sec. Then why we use SDF in starter panel means MCC panels. Pls reply if any one knows this answer.
what is the maximum rating(KVA) of transformer can be used in distribution side..(11KV/440v) and why??
3 shows a 415 V, 3-phase generator supplying a 3-phase 415/110 V transformer. Draw the individual and combined impedance diagrams to a base of 10 kVA. Determine the system fault kVA and the fault currents at the 415 V and 110 V busbars for short circuit faults on the transformer input or output terminals. Work in p.u. values of impedances.
