The cable area of cross section is 185 sq mm. How to convert this to the diameter.
Answers were Sorted based on User's Feedback
Answer / vishnu
PI X R*R = 185
R*R = 185/3.14 = 58.92
R=ROOT 58.92 = 7.675
D= 7.675 * 2 = 15.35

185 = Pai*r*r
r*r = 185/Pai
Diameter = ?
Diameter = 2r
Then U can easily find out

The simple formula is used same as the formula used to
calculate the diameter of circle from its given area. The
formula is as follows;
Diemeter = Over Root( Area x 4 x 7)/22
Diameter = Over Root (185 x 4 x 7)/22
= 15.34mm

the above answer is true for conductor diameter and not for cable diameter.the person who has asked the question better knows.....
| Is This Answer Correct ? | 0 Yes | 3 No |
Answer / gunasekaran
cross section area of the conductor (a)=3.14/4*(dxd)
dxd=185/0.78
Area of 185sq.mm conductor is (d)=square root of 185/0.78
d =15.40mm
