yes we ca operate dg set with transfer but voltage and
freqency must be matched, with help of PLC,

All the power source it may be transformer or Alternator
(DG-DC power generator).
For parellel operation synchronisation is important. I.E
Voltage level, frequency, phase angle should be equal for
the both sources.
For checking the synchronisation previously DARK LAMP
METHOD was used. Now a days special relays used for this
purpose. Relays MES 120(Schneider), 7UT relays in Siemens.

Answer / sangram
yes, we can Theoretically do it. we want to use aditional
relay and some equipments like Reversepower relay, DF/DT.

Answer / meka sekhar
theoretically DG can be operated parallelly with
transformer as long as voltage, frequqncy, phase angle are
within limits. However, in industrial practice, only
momentarily paralleling will be done between DG &
transformer. Sometimes if they want to check loading of DG,
it can be paralled with transformer so that it will not
affect loads which are connected to bus.

Answer / sangram patil
Yes, called as synchronizsation of DG & EB of both. for
this parallel operation we want to concentrate on Voltage,
Frequency & Phase angle of both of equal.
and for Auto loading & Autobalancing we want to use
Woodward, C&S OR scnhider make relay.

no dg set can not be connected with x-mer DG can not give
constant freq.

My system is 22kv/3.3kv transformer. client is asking to use NGR, but as we have dedicated Neutral Earthing systems which has a value less than 1 Ohm. So i want solid comparision. Why i should not use NGR as my system is already protected. Can any one help me to get out of this.how should i reply on basis of some great comparision and calculations. Please help

Dear All, In a 400V power system, ratio of three current transformers installed incoming switchgear is 4000/1. Maximum three phases short circuit current of this system is 48kA. One CT is installed on neutral of upstream transformer (6/0.42kV, solidly earthed) for 51G protection. Would you please inform me about the correct CT ratio of this current transformer (on neutral)?? Thanks a million
