What is the min.& max distance between two earth spikes is
required for measuring earth resistance of an earth pit? Is
the manufacturer of Earth tester decides this? Pls explain.

the minimum and maximum distances are 5 and 10 meter in
practice. But in general manufacturer declares the distance
requirement.

When measuring the Insulation resistance of a motor winding (winding to earth) using a megger meter, Applied voltage(1000V) was automatically reduced to 500V. and the measured insulation resistance values are also very low (in Kohm range) Can anyone give me a reason???

I am having a DG set.The 415 V from Generator is step up to 460 v and then the same is used for Induction furnace. before Step up, I am connecting LT load to my factory use.
