IT IS DEPENDING ON NUMBER OF POLES OF THE MOTOR.SAY FOR
2POLE AND 4POLE MOTORS IT IS APPROX. 20-30% OF FULL LOAD
CURRENT,FOR 6POLE AND 8 POLE IT IS AROUND 35-45% OF FULL
LOAD CURRENT. FOR HIGHER POLES THE NO LOAD CURRENT EQUALS
FULL LOAD CURRENT DUE CTO POOR NO LOAD POWER FACTOR.

is KVAR (not reverse power) relay necessary to protect from excitor field failure on a brushless, synchroneus generator?
