equals to double the KW rating (and -2% of double the KW)

As per the Thumb Rule,

Current = (Motor HP x 1.5)-10% of the total

Example: If we want to calculate the current of the 100Hp
motor then
current = (100 x 1.5)-10% = 150-15 = 135 Amp.
