A single phase supply is connected to the motor but this 1
phase voltage does not create sutiable rotating torque in
the motor so, in the motor the winding is arrenged like a
way that the 1 phase voltage will split in to 2 phase and
this 2 phase voltage will provide rotating torque and this
type of motor is called 2 phase motor or split phase motor.
