with grid and suddenly grid breaker off what will happen?
It will trip o/u freq or stay as it is? (urgent)

It will iland mode but load to be as per generation extra
load to be disconnected immidiatly

It's all depend on load and generator capacity, if load is
greater than generator capacity. If the load is much
greather than generator capacity (exam : 2 times of gen
capacity, it may trip because of under frequency, but
usually overload will be trip the generator CB first), but
if gen capacity is bigger than load, it will stay as it is.

If this happen then turbine rpm and exactly frequency goes
up and depending on reaction of your control system to speed
variation , speed may be control or just lock out relay of
generator operate and turbine should not trip .

If you Have Island mode and you configuer it to switch from
deoop mode to Island mode at Grid tripping time, Your
system dose not effected by O/U freq.
Otherwise your system will trip due to underfrequency.

Hello Guys
The question has been asked without giving details what
this generator was doing. That is whether it was supplying
inhoue load with additional power drawn from grid or the
genrator was meeting inhouse load and exporting power.
The reply would depend on this.

genrator not alone together 4 steam turbine and all the
machine we are keeping droop mode all the time(with
parallel grid &islande mode. And we have separate load and
freq control systems. My question is when the machine
working alone and droop mode how will get freq reference?
and when parallel gird how will follow grid freq?

This is depend on what`s the mode of the grid? switching
off the mode of grid by operator to disconnect the grid
system mode, then the one genrator will continue running
without load and stay as it is (droop mode)

When grid breaker trip at that time turbine comes in island mode
frequency goes to higher side, but if governor response as per
load through . When Grid trip governor will transfer from drop
mode to isochronous mode.

Paralelling with grid mean your DG is running on stand by
mode or droop mode, your systems load is on grid. when grid
trips all load shifted on DG WITHOUT INTERRUPTION when grid
power comes check synchro. relay gives command again to DG
& it will again run on droop mode.

when grid breaker trips..your generator is overloaded
suddenly frequency falls(47.75hz to 47hz depends on load)
and get trip on under frequency
