what is different between DIGITAL and ANALOG?
Answers were Sorted based on User's Feedback
Digital signal means either True or False. Only 2 states
will be there. Example for this is pushbutton,Hot metal
detector,proxy etc.
Analog means the signal will vary with conditions. out put
may be 4-20mA, 0-20mA,0-10V,0-5V etc. examples are
pressure,flow transducers,RTD,Thermocouple etc

analog means the quantity can take an infinite number of
continuous values in a range.for example weight of a
person, height of the person, pressure of fluid etc.
digital means only discrete values like on and off;0 and
1,0volts and 5 volts,true and false....etc

Analog means continusous varying system, for example it can
vary from 0 to maximum value continusouy sinusoidal or ramp
or by folowing any curve but continuos whereas in digital
there are ony two state(0 & 1) which changes in step from 0
to 1 i.e. discrete values. In Digital system, signal can be
reproduced at receiving end exactly with discrete values
signals received.
