Answer / g.ramakrishnan

to install flow transmitter and correct range
orifice, ensure that ft output is linear means dcs side u
have to make sq root.if smart type transmitter means
configured sq root output field itself.then u will get
correct reading.

Answer / k.sreenivasan

Mr.PasavaRaj,
Your question misses a major point.
Do you have a flow sensor (like orifice or annubar etc)
already installed? If yes, Then you have to match the DP
required by the sensor to the transmitter DP Range. Please
note that 2540 mm wc of the transmitter range can be
changed using communicator (If it is HART) based on
transmitter specifcations.Check what is the minimum span
the tranmitter can be calibrated? if that is greater than
the sensor DP, you have to look for another transmitter.

mr Raees,

Can u explain wat u mean for H & P in this formula, and
also can u explain how the pressure units convert in to
flow rate in the transmitter. I Mean that mm of water colum
is converted into Mass or volumetric flow can u give me the
answer

First of all Good Question

Ans: Use Orifice Bore Calculation sheet
you want process data like pipe size, Max Temp, Max Pressure,
Max Flow rate & Application like Steam or water
put this values in OPA Calculation sheet & you would got dp
range in MMWC
