Profibus DP is a multi-master system. Would it work on RS-485
4W or not, and justify your answer
Answer / carl_ellis
The Profibus DP specification defines the hardware transport
physical layer as 2 wire RS-485. The communications
protocol and the transport layer are both part of the
Profibus DP specification (the separate 2 wire cable for
24Vdc power supply is not involved with the communications).
Any device that passes Profibus DP certification will
conform to the Profibus DP specification.
Therefore, a 4 wire RS-485 device will not work on a
Profibus DP network because it won't be a Profibus DP
device, it does not meet the Profibus DP spec, which is 2
wire RS-485.
Attempting to operate a 4 wire RS-485 device on a Profibus
DP network will only disrupt Profibus DP communications on
the network.

Why does a pressure gauge installed on reactor, doesn't have any vent line below to release the pressure? Is it any kind of designing mistake or it actually does not require any vent line? And if it does not require any vent line below it then how we are gonna release the pressure built inside the pressure gauge?

I am having a Phoenix digital to modbus converter. The o/p of the same is connected to flow computer FB407. But the digital signals are updated only after one minute in the flow computer. what may be the cause of delay in communication? Flow computer is having a scanning period of less than 1 sec.
suppose in dcs range of a flow transmitter is 10t/hr what is dp for 50% in 2500mmwc
whey we conect ammeter in series and voltmeter in parallel in circuit
A differential pressure transmitter is configured to measure the height of an open tank : height 10m and dia 5m. Suppose this same transmitter is shifted to another open tank : height 10m and dia 4m. What will be the %error in measurement? how?
What are different types of valves?
there are two candidates p and q in an election.During the campaign,40% of the voters promised to vote for P ,and rest for Q.however, on the day of election 15% of the voter went back on their promise to vote for P and instead voted for Q. 25% of the voters went back on their promise to vote for Q and instead voted for P.suppose,P lost by two votes, then what was the total no. of voters.
