Answer / guest

It can be a quasi or true sinusoidal form, depending on i.
period of the signal generator, ii. and the time constant
of the transformer winding [ ie inductive circuit]. A
combination of these two would determine the shape of your
output wave form. A mathematical analysis would be helpful
to determine the exact nature of the shape of wave where

t = L/R and at any instant before t , e = E[e^R/L]

If you were to then to plot a graph from t=0 to t =T, the
you can observe that e would define a a quarter period to
peak, and if you then take off the the square wave, the
inductive energy stored having E as induced voltage, in the
transformer will exactly define a mirror image when it
discharges ie e = E {1 - e^R/L]

Answer / vikram

THIS IS CALLED PULSE TRANSFORMER.

IF INDUCTANCE IS HIGH THEN OUTPUT IS EQUAL TO INPUT.

IF L=LOW IT PRODUCES EXPONENTIALYY DECAY PULSES
IN BOTH +VE AND -VE CYCLES.
