CHANGE IN INPUT AC VOLTAGE.THIS TYPE OF TRANSFORMER IS
CALLED AUTO TRANSFORMER. IN THIS TRANFORMER THERE IS A COIL
WINDING CONNECTED TO AC INPUT AND ONE OUT PUT CONNECTION IS
COMMAN LINE AND ANOTHER OUTPUT LINE MOVES WITH THE HELP OF
A CORBAN SLIDER ON THE AC INPUT COIL AS SLIDER MOVES WE GET
VARIABLE AC VOLTAGE .

All products are exactly one and the same. "Dimmerstat" is
originally registered by "AE" the pioneers in this product
in India.All other manufactures have registered this product
in different names,like "Varivolt""Varitrans" etc.
The basic product is a Toroidal Transformer,with a moving
brush to short only 2 turns at atime.The coil is generally
wound for Single phase voltage,generally 230V.3 such coils
are assembled on a common shaft,which can either moved
manually or thro a stepped motor for remote operation

auto transformers -- standard name is variable auto transformer
