TRANSFORMER
OLTC IS IS MORE USEFUL THAN OCTC
IT IS MAINLY USE TO CONTROL VOLTAGE DU TO REACTIVE POWER
THERE IS MECHANICAL DRIVER WHICH CHANGE NO OF TURN IN
SECONDARY AND IT IS AUTOMATIC CONTROL

The function Of OLTC i.e. onload tap changer is to maintain
the constant voltage at H.v side i.e. secondary of
transfomer ,by changing his taps position , we can
maontain the voltage, Where as most of transformer having
on load tap changer control panel , with help of panel we
can change taps by local / remote mode
