Answer / moody
of course
when load pf is constant and the load current increase the
t.v decrease " lagging p.f"
at leading pf the t.v increasing
this occurs in synch generators
if the load is constant but the p.f changed or varried
the same operation happens in lagging , leading respectivly
thanks................

Yes it does.
Reactive loads ABSORB VARs. This may lead to deficit VARs
in the system causing VOLTAGE to GO DOWN.
( Note that EXCESS VAR___High VOltage
DEFICIT VAR___FAll in voltage)

Answer / ritesh
yes, when reactive load is changed, the load power factor is
also changed. line current= active power/(voltage*pf),
therefore line current will also change for a constant load,
which will change the line voltage drop, therefore terminal
voltage will also get change.

For refrigerators the motor current is raised beyond its rating on both conditions when the voltage of the system is more(say 270v) than the rated voltage(220v) as well as when the voltage of system is less(say 160v) than normal voltageof 220v, why explain?
